What's your Consumption?

A few weeks ago, I was having a robust debate (yes - that means arguing) with someone about energy use. His belief is that the world is going to run out of non-renewable natural resources. Let's assume for the sake of argument that you agree and that humanity is too rapidly using the world's finite resources.

The question then becomes, what are you going to do about it?

His position: everything you purchase should be as energy efficient as possible.

Chasing Shiny Things

Thursday afternoons are Jonas Family "Fam Jam".

We do a variety of activities during this time - from Bible Studies to games to holiday events to dance lessons - but the important part is that we do it together as a family.

This past Thursday everyone was too tired to focus on the Bible Study we are currently doing. So we were just sitting around talking when Indigo started teasing Landon by casting a shiny spot on the wall with her phone.

How much weight are you carrying?

The other day I was taking my two grandsons upstairs. I was carrying Michael because he didn't want to go upstairs. Michael's almost two and weighs probably around 25 pounds or so. Halfway up the stairs, Landon asked to be carried also. Normally I would tell him that at 3 years old and over 30 pounds that he can walk up the stairs himself, but I was in an accommodating mood and so I hefted him up and continued up the stairs.

Needless to say, I was winded when I got to the top.
